Mid-Century Modern Shelves

c. 2016

Designed to complement a 1950 “Century Built Home” in Houston, Texas, this painted shelving unit is the perfect solution for book and toy storage and display. Made of solid Birch, each piece was cut to fit another. Open ends mimic floating shelves of the Mid-Century period.

c. 1980

One of my earliest projects, this large-scale, three-part bookcase also serves as a room divider in the main living area of a Little Rock home. Honey-stained pine with adjustable shelves. Center case projects out from the two flanking it.
